Hi,
I'm Rishi
Fullstack developer in training.
A bit about me
Hey there! I'm a recent physics graduate who loves learning new technologies. I'm currently training to be a full stack developer with futureproof, where I've been learning things like Javascript, SQL and NoSQL Databases, React and more.
Other interests of mine include creating visual effects for my (ridiculous) short films, and anything to do with space - science missions, industry developments, and of course sci-fi films, tv and books!
Skills
I'm always looking to learn new things to widen my skillset, but here are some of the software and technologies I've had experience with (programming and otherwise!).
Front End
HTML
CSS
Javascript
React
Redux
Back End
Node.js
Express.js
PostgreSQL
MongoDB
C#
Python
Other
Adobe Suite
Blender
Unity
Recent Projects
Here are some of things I've worked on recently while training at futureproof!
JobbaHunt
JobbaHunt is a full stack job search app built using React and Django with PostgreSQL and AWS S3 for database and storage. Users can create an account, search jobs on Reed API, save jobs, update progress of job applications and collect points that can be exchanged for rewards!
Quizards
Quizards is a web app that lets you play a quiz with your friends, wherever they may be!
Uses Socket.io to deliver questions from the OpenTriviaDB API to all users, whose scores
and highscore are stored in an SQL database. Frontend in React, using Redux to store
user info and process backend requests.
Habité
A mobile friendly web-app that allows users to register for their own account. They can easily log and record their progress for any habits they wish to track, mark habits as complete for the day, and see their most recent completion streaks. The data is persisted in a Postgres Database connected to Heroku.
Consoul.log
An anonymous commmunity journaling platform for tech nerds. Built using HTML, CSS and Node.js with and Express.js backend that saves data to a json file.
